What the numbers mean
A downlight is judged in the room, not on the datasheet. Here is what the specification actually does for the space.
Glare control
UGR is the measure of how much a fitting glares in a working space. Below 19 is the threshold specifiers ask for in offices and retail. Deep recessed optics and dark internal trims are what get a fixture there.
Colour rendering
CRI describes how faithfully a light source shows colour. At ≥90 the difference is visible on skin, timber, textile and stone — which is why it matters in hospitality and residential work far more than raw output does.
Beam angle
24°, 36° and 45° are offered across both families. A narrow beam sculpts and accents; a wide beam washes and fills. Most schemes need both, from the same aperture, so the ceiling stays quiet.
IP65 sealing
IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets. It is what allows the same fixture to run from a dry lobby into a bathroom, a covered terrace or a spa without changing the ceiling detail.
Control
ON/OFF and DALI are available across the range, with waterproof DALI, 3CCT switching, 2.4G remote and Wi-Fi on selected models. DALI is what lets a scheme be addressed and scened rather than simply switched.
Build
Die-cast aluminium bodies with powder-coated finishes, COB sources and OSRAM LED, driven by EAGLERISE, LIFUD or EUCHIPS gear. The heatsink is the reason the lumen output survives its rated life.
